Mrs. Virginia Cantrell, age 94, of Columbus, MS and formerly of Vernon, passed away Tuesday, May 20, at Trinity Health Care in Columbus.

Mrs. Cantrell was born May 19, 1931, in Lamar County, AL, to the late William and Willie Beatrice Roberts.  She was a homemaker, and was married to the late Billy Jack Boman and the late Hugh Cantrell.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Jeanine Boman.

There will be no formal funeral service.

Survivors include two sons, Jim (Jennifer) Boman of Ft. Myers, FL and Byron (Vilma) Boman of Rockville, MD; one daughter, Elaine (Bobby) Glasgow of Vernon, AL; six grandchildren, Brandon Boman, Monica Dumpson, Marci Glasgow, Libby Glasgow-Greene, Valerie Glasgow, and Bradley Boman; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Judith Brummitt of La Verne, CA.
