Obituary
Mr. William Lee (W.L.) Pennington, age 75 of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, Sep. 16, at his daughter's residence in Columbus, MS.
Mr. Pennington was born Oct. 12, 1934 in Lamar Co., AL to the late Grover and Ethel Pennington and was an auto body repairman.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with M.H. Hollis and Don Taggart officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill.
Survivors are one son, Matthew Pennington, of Vernon; four daughters, Mary (Johnny) Cleveland of Caledonia, MS, Kitty (Jerome) Bradford of Vernon, Sandy (Eric) David of Columbus, and Shelly Boman of Columbus; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Roger (Sharon) Price of Vernon, Stoney (Sherry) Price of Vernon, and step-daughter Gwen (Johnny) Hankins of Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Pennington, and his parents.
Active pallbearers will be Jared Miller, Mark Miller, Michael Cleveland, Shannon Cox, Corey Cox, and Carson Chiquito. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Earl Hester and Charles Guyton.
