Obituary
Mr. Wallace Ray Harris, age 70 of Vernon, AL, passed away Thursday, August 28, 2014, at DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa.
Mr. Harris was born January 15, 1944, in Sulligent, AL, to the late Audie Wood and Maggie Mae Harris. He was a truck driver and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy Harris and Danny "Doodle" Harris, and a sister, Betty Ann Mordecai.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jerry Smith and Bro. Arnold Sheets officiating. Burial will follow at Wofford Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday evening 6-8.
Mr. Harris is survived by his wife of 52 years and 9 months, Pat Harris of Vernon, AL; his son, Jerry (Michelle) Harris of Columbus, MS; his daughter, Tammy (Geoff) Cantrell of Vernon, AL; two grandchildren, Brittany Pless (Casey) Carruth and James Seth Harris; two sisters, Peggy Kyles and Ruthie Moore; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
