Mr. Warren G. Jordan, age 87 of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012, at Fayette Medical Center-DCH.

Mr. Jordan was born April 4, 1927, in Lamar Co., AL to the late Murray and Maudie Jordan. He served in the U.S. Army and World War II and was a truck driver. Mr. Jordan was a lifetime member of Springfield Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed watching children practice ball, drag racing, and Alabama football. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Faye Russell.

Funeral services will be Friday at 2:00 in the funeral home chapel with Kenny Gardner officiating. Burial will at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be Thursday evening 6-8.

Survivors are his wife, Kitty Jordan of Vernon, AL; daughter, Kim Jordan of Northport, AL; son, Jeff (Rita) Jordan of Oneonta, AL; three grandchildren, Niki (Dewayne) Young of Vernon, Andrea (Steven) Carroll of Odenville, AL, and Wesley Jordan of Cullman, AL; great-grandson, Hudson Carroll of Odenville, AL; three sisters, Pauline Walters of Vernon, AL, Betty Carr of Vernon, AL, and Shirley Orr of Reform, AL; and two brothers, Bud Jordan of Vernon, AL and Bill Jordan of Vernon, AL.
