Willard Pless

Mr. James Willard Pless, age 82, of Vernon, AL, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026, at Fayette Medical Center-DCH.

Mr. Pless was born April 23, 1943, in East Fork, NC, to the late James M. and Hattie Huffman Pless. He was married to the late Patricia Pless and was a minister, and he had a Masters in Biblical Studies. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Clifford Williams, Elmer Sanford, Hugh J. Pless, and Bobby Joe Pless; his sister, Julie Pless Edwards Easterwood; and his sister-in-law,Carolyn Suttles.

There will be a graveside service Wednesday, February 25, at 1:00 PM, at Furnace Hill, with Bro. David Sullivan and Bro. Joe Moseley officiating.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Pless of Vernon, AL and Tim (Beth) Pless of Caledonia, MS; one granddaughter, Brittany (Chris) Lewis of Vernon, AL; two great-granddaughters, Cali and Remi Lewis; his sister-in-law, Lynda Pless of Flag Pond, TN; his brother-in-law, Gary Suttles of Canton, NC; and a host of nieces and nephews.
