Mr. William Clay Cribbs, age 81 of Vernon, AL, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019, at his residence.

Mr. Cribbs was born February 24, 1938, in Lamar County, AL, to the late Henry Huey and Roxie Cribbs.  He served in the U.S. Air Force, was a computer programmer at Arvin, and a member of the American Legion.  He was also preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Cribbs; his daughter, Claire Cribbs, three sisters, Pauline, Mary Ludean, and Betty Faye; and two brothers, Vester Lee Cribbs and Henry G. Cribbs.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery.  Visitation will be Friday evening 6:00-8:00.

Survivors include his son, Hank (Julie) Cribbs of Tulsa, OK; two grandchildren, Carly Cribbs and Cole Cribbs, both of Tulsa, OK; three cousins, Charles Cook, Janette Berman, and Martha Turner; and a host of other family and friends.
