Mrs. Willie Mae Johnson Taggart, age 87 of Houston, TX and formerly of Vernon, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019, in Houston.

Mrs. Taggart was born February 3, 1932, in Vernon, AL, to the late William Thomas and Rosa Albertha Jones.  She worked as a line tech at Emerson.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Taggart was preceded in death by her husbands, Rex Johnson and M.T. Taggart, and her brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 in the chapel of Chandler Funeral Home.  Burial will immediately follow at Shiloh Cemetery.  Visitation/celebration of life will be Friday 11:00-1:00 prior to the service.

Survivors include two daughters, Gail (Mike) Clearman of Kingwood, TX and Judy (Mike) Mirabal of Spring, TX; two grandchildren, Whitney (Aadhar) Garg of Kingwood, TX and Dallas (Margot) Mirabal of Marshall, MO; one great-grandchild, Armaan Garg; one sister, Josie Wheeler of Tuscaloosa, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
